Caryn kicked off the summer with several presentations including “Constructing Relationships: Examining Project Structures to Align Design Conception and Realization” at the BTES Conference in Des Moines and “Collaborative Practices: Communication Flow and Information Exchange,” at the Seventh International Conference on The Constructed Environment in Krakow, Poland.
Very honored that the The Designer’s Field Guide to Collaboration has been awarded First Prize in the 2017 Building Technology Educator’s Society (BTES) Book Award.
TAD hardcopies of Volume 1, No. 1 – VIRAL: Information Technology as Prophet, Panacea, or Pariah? – are now arriving at ACSA member schools and being distributed to over 4000 faculty members.

On April 27th at 1:00, Caryn will give a book talk in the Art Center Gallery at the NewSchool of Architecture & Design on The Designer’s Field Guide to Collaboration.
Caryn will present a paper, “Collaboration: Propelling An Expanded Practice” at the ACSA Annual Meeting in Detroit for David Goodman’s session “Design of Practice.”
“Beyond the Building” is now on exhibit in the UMass Amherst Design Building. Join us for the closing reception on Tuesday, February 28, 6:30-8pm.
